Loss...
We lost a great leader on the 4th of January… the Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE’s Vice President and Prime Minister.
The news was overwhelmingly upsetting, news people of Dubai could not believe until this very day…
WHO? WhAt!? When? How.? WHYYYYY!!!??? But why the questions? The man left…but it was our love, our never ending love towards this man… we didn’t want to believe the news… then there were the deep sobs, those that start beneath the heart. Then there was that lump that swells inside the throat and then the tears….
We wished for 2006 to be yet a better start..but we were all so depressed to see it wasn’t.
2006 started by taking away our beloved and kindest soul, our father, ruler and great teacher Maktoum. A ruler who gave to his people almost everything, and made lives less difficult to many who suffered.
His love left an incredible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared his love. We are feeling entirely lost without him and time would never heal, it will only leave a half-stitched scar…
